Kuwait Relaxes Residency Visa Rules for These 14 Jobs

Kuwait has announced introducing major changes to the guidelines involving the acquisition of regular residency for household members.

The modifications to certain provisions in the government rules of the Expats’ Residence Law have been made through Deputy Prime Minister Fahd Al Yousef.

According to the revised Article 29, rookies applying for a dependent or household visa should have a monthly income of at least KD800, a university degree, and an occupation applicable to the visa application. However, the diploma requirement has been scrapped for positive professions.

Furthermore, persons aged 0-5, born in Kuwait or abroad, with dad and mom dwelling in Kuwait have also been exempted from the income requirement. It is pertinent to point out that this exemption is upon the approval of the Director General of the General Administration of Residence Affairs.

The appearing Undersecretary has been exceeded over the responsibility of imposing the decision, as special in the 2nd article of this revision. The amendment takes effect from its booklet date in the Official Gazette.

Following are the professions that have been exempted from the college diploma requirement:

  • Advisors, judges, prosecutors, experts, and legal researchers in the government sector.
  • Medical professionals, including medical doctors and pharmacists.
  • University, college, and greater institute professors.
  • School administrators, vice principals, schooling mentors, teachers, social workers, and laboratory attendants in the government sector.
  • Financial and monetary advisors in universities.
  • Engineers
  • Imams, preachers, and muezzins in mosques.
  • Librarians in government businesses and non-public universities.
  • Ministry of Health staff, along with nurses, paramedics, clinical technicians, and social carrier workers.
  • Social employees and psychologists in the government sector.
  • Journalism, media professionals, and correspondents.
  • Sports coaches and athletes in federations and clubs.
  • Pilots and flight attendants.
  • Professionals overseeing burial preparations and services.
