Meta is trying out a new feature that will enable Threads customers to see what types of conversations are trending on the platform. The app has begun trying out “today’s top topics” in the United States, Mark Zuckerberg shared in a publication on Threads.
The characteristic will surface “timely matters that others are discussing” and will show up in search and interspersed between posts in the app’s For You feed, according to Meta. Specific trends will be “determined with the aid of our AI systems primarily based on what human beings are enticing with proper now on Threads,” Instagram head Adam Mosseri said.
Interestingly, Threads will floor trends related to politics and elections. The business enterprise stated last week that it would no longer advocate political content in its recommendations except for users pick out to opt-in.
