The applications for the British Council-administered Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls are now open. This scholarship funds Bachelor’s and Master’s/MPhil studies for Pakistani females in any HEC-recognized college throughout Pakistan.
Funded by the Scottish Government, these deliver the purpose of making greater schooling more handy to women, aiding them in attaining their conceivable ambition. British Council administers the scheme in Pakistan and coordinates with chosen pupils and universities either at once or through nominated college focal persons. The Deputy Director of British Council Pakistan, Maarya Rehman said:
The Scottish Scholarship Scheme is a vital part of our work in supporting the educational aspirations of young women and girls in Pakistan. We are supporting them to gain the skills, confidence, and connections that will help to transform their lives and shape a better and more prosperous Pakistan.
The scholarship will cover a two-year master’s/MPhil or four-year bachelor’s diploma at an HEC-recognised Pakistani university in one of the following problem areas only:
- Education
- Sustainable Energy
- Food Security and Agriculture
- Health Sciences
- STEM (Masters only)
These scholarships are open to female applicants only. In addition, applicants must:
Be Pakistani nationals presently living in Pakistan
Be pursuing a two-year master’s or four-year bachelor’s diploma in the above-listed situation areas
Hold a demonstrated admission offer from an HEC-recognised university in Pakistan
Young ladies with disabilities, from rural areas and minority organizations are inspired to apply.
